Hakkasan SF

Hakkasan at the corner of Market St and kearny
While staying at the St Regis in San Francisco we got a chance to have dinner at Hakkasan Restaurant. Located nearby on the second floor of the iconic One Kearny building in downtown SF, this restaurant first opened its doors in 2012.

Hakkasan Interior
Hakkasan overlooks the bustling Market and Geary Streets, and benefits from natural light during the day with hand-blown glass pendants and a spectacular bronze-colored V-shaped bar that’s the restaurant’s centerpiece and is quite beautiful.

This place made us happy. The food is amazing, the service perfect and the décor quite nice. We were seated promptly as we had just come from an IMAX movie at the Metreon around the corner.

Steamed Dim Sum
We shared the mixed dim sum platter, black truffle roasted duck (super good), mixed wild mushrooms and side of rice each. It was enough food for two but because of how good the food was, we wished we would have ordered more of something else. We ended the meal with wonderful  macaroons and a special Sauterne.

Truffle Roasted Duck
Will definitely be returning and suggest it to anyone looking for a restaurant that offers both delicious food and and a happening atmosphere. I expected it to be like WP24, Wolfgang Puck’s restaurant in LA, but it turned out to be much more ethnic than the Vegas-type scene at WP24. We really liked Hakkasan.

Wild Mushrooms
Fresh Macaroons

Hakkasan restaurant was founded in London in 2001 at in London, England. It has expanded the world over including: Mumbai, Abu Dhabi,Dubai, Doha, Miami, New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Beverly Hills and Shanghai. Hakkasan has been shown to be  one of the most vibrant Chinese Restaurant experiences. We really liked the food and atmosphere.

Highly recommended!
