Fleur de Lys, San Francisco. The original 75-seat restaurant occupies an unobtrusive windowless mid-block storefront on Sutter Street near Jones in the Tenderloin- Lower Nob Hill.
Nob Hill is one of the most romantic parts of the city; our evening started out at the Nob Hill Ritz Carlton, where we were staying. After drinks we walked over to Fleur de Lys to have a Special Birthday dinner. We loved it, very romantic and exciting. We couldn’t wait to taste Chef Keller’s food.

The food, especially the grand marnier souffle was exceptional, and service was wonderful. As we were here for a birthday dinner, the service went above and beyond. We were greeted several times, our seat was nice and cozy. Ambiance was perfect. It was one of the best dining experiences that we've had.

We had filet mignon with lobster truffled mac & cheese and loved how the truffled mac & cheese tasted together. It's genius how it was served in brioche, and delicious when eaten together. We also had the salmon dish which was perfectly created and prepared. Delicious.

We ended the meal with a signature Fleur Burger dessert in addition to the candy cart and the souffle we ordered. Perfect ending.
This restaurant exceeded our expectations and the service was outstanding. The ambience was perfect for a romantic dinner, and we couldn't ask for anything more.
